HP Photosmart prem c410a
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP564 ink cartridges are full - photo black, cyan, yellow, blue and xl564 black.  I don't have any connection problems.

Yesterday, I scanned in a document.  I haven't made any software,  driver  or Printer property changes.

Today, when I print a document in black & white, the printing on the document appears faint.  I can print in color.  I am also receiving a Printer Alignment Fail.

What do I need to do to print a  black and white that is readable and not faint?

I have a HP47E233 (HP Photosmart Prem C410a series) printer.  It's a photosmart All in One Printer Scanner.

Thanks, Aunt Punkin

Hi @AuntPunkin

I have attached a troublesheeting link that should help with your alignment issue, give this a try.   Once the alignment is sucessful the print quality should be good,

Caroline,
Thanks for your response. I was attempting to run the test when I ran out of ink. I went to Office Depot to buy 5 new cartridges. The price of a new printer was close to the price of new cartridges. So, I bought a new printer & ink cartridges came with the device.
