Hi @printa1,

Good Day.   Thanks stopping by the HP forums. I reviewed the post about the printer only printing on one-half of the page. I will be glad to assist you here. Superb effort and great description of the situation. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

  • Did you try to make few copies directly from the printer to check if copies fine?
  • Please provide the operating system of the computer that is being used?
  • Did you try to print from multiple apps?

For a start please make a few copies directly from the printer to eliminate hardware issues with it.
  • If it copies fine, please try to uninstall the printer software by trying these steps if the operating system is windows.
  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.

Then reinstall the full feature software from this link: http://hp.com/drivers Please select the correct operating system before doing it. This should do the trick for you.

If the operating system is MAC then reset the Mac printing system and add the printer. For steps on how to do it please visit this link

If it does not copy fine please visit this link for alignment issues of the printer.  If the printer hardware and cartridges are fine, this should correct the issue for you. It is important for you to perform all the steps patiently please to resolve the issue.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care now and have a superb week ahead. 🙂
