Hello, @liiizbethhh – Greetings!

Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that you are experiencing issues while installing your Photosmart wireless printer. I will do my best to assist you with this issue 🙂

You need to install the full feature printer driver software on your MAC to get the “Wireless setup” option as explained in the instructions. Unfortunately, we do not have the full feature software for your MAC 10.10 OS.

Since this is an older model printer, the last full feature software available for this model is for MAC 10.7.

Hence, I would suggest using the WPS option to connect the printer to the network. Go to http://hp.care/2fLuzt0 and follow the steps under “Use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)”. Once the printer is connected to the network, then simply add the printer as suggested below:

  • Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
  • Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
  • Click the “Add button” (+).
  • Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
  • Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Good luck 🙂
