Hello, @man4 – Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!

I see that you are getting poor print quality on your Deskjet printer. First off, we need to find out isolate the issue further to check whether this a printer issue or the software issue on the computer. I’d suggest making a copy to do the same. Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.

If the copy also comes out bad, then the issue is with the printer hardware / cartridges. There are few steps that we can try to fix this issue. Go to http://hp.care/2qcSTHa and follow the steps listed from 2 -11.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
