Hi!

@denmik

Thank you for posting back with the information I requested. I appreciate it.

To resolve the error when trying to connect to web services please set a static ip for your printer. I have included a link to another post on the forums with screen shots on how to set the static ip.  I know the screen shots are for an Officejet 8600.  if you don't have IPv4 on the left hand side menu as shown in Step 2 please look for the word "Network" on the left hand side menu.

After setting a static ip address you should be able to enable web services which means your printer now has an independent connection to the internet.

Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you're not sure what to do with your claim code.  I asked the moderator to remove it for your privacy.

I have included a document on customizing your ePrint email address and it walks you through what to do with the claim code.  I have also included a document about getting the claim code if yours has expired by the time you get a chance to use it.  By default the claim code expires after 24 hours.

printer will not print----

Hello

I received "important printer setup instructions" printed from printer which will not print from computer. The instructions had a third step "select devices tab,..." There was no such tab, only numerous sites to select. What am I doing wrong?

I would really like to avoid returning this printer to the store, because of poor set-up instructions.
