Hi all,

The problem I have had for a good few months is I cannot print in colour.

More details:

- The problem is not with the printer, as it is only when printing from my laptop.

- In the printer properties, there is no option to print in colour.

- An error message comes up upon exiting printer properties, "Function address code caused a protection fault. (exception code 0xe06d7363) The application property sheet page(s) may not function properly."

- After reading many posts, the problem is apparently to do with Windows 10 update, and applies to many HP printers.

- HP Print and Scan Doctor solves nothing.

- I have read other posts who suggest to uninstall every trace of HP from computer and then reinstall drivers.  For me and many others, this does not help long term (only one or two pages).

I have never posted before, but spent several hours trying to solve this issue, and came up with a work around, so sharing this post if it may come of use to anybody:

- Install HP ePrint Software for Network and Wireless Connected Printers.

- Make this your default printer.

Note: I have one problem with HP ePrint, which is that you cannot choose the print quality of what is being printed.  If this is important to you as it is for me, then keep reading:

- Before printing, you can always decide which printer to use.  In the print menu just before you print, select from the printer dropdown list your HP printer if you care more for quality than colour, or HP ePrint + JetAdvantage if you want to print in colour.    (Btw, the error message mentioned earlier when exiting printer properties does not exist when switching from HP ePrint + JetAdvantage to your HP printer from the printer dropdown list.)

I hope this helps somebody...
