I was printing this morning with a GENUINE HP INK CARTRIDGE and everything was fine, til in the middle of my print job, the printer decided to stop and give me an error message:
Black cartridge is not compatible. Use appropriate HP cartridge.
It is the correct and genuine HP black cartridge, and it was working fine until this morning - literally in the middle of printing a bunch of pages.
It's not a regionalisation problem, and turning the machine off /resetting has done nothing. I also cleaned the copper contacts on both the carriage and the cartridge and that made no difference either.
The ink cartridge is almost full and cost a fortune, so i am not happy that the response from HP on Twitter was so useless (the regional locking thing, which does not apply, and the instruction to "turn it off and on again".)
How do i fix this error please?
I cannot afford to waste an entire ink cartridge. These aren't cheap and having an almost full cartridge fail this way is not good. Please help
