My printer will not print color from my computer but it will print color from my husband's computer. I did do a Print Quality Diagnostic from my computer and it did print in color, but nothing else prints color.

I see that you are not able to print in color from your Mac.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Check the print settings:

  1. Open a document, photo, or webpage, click File > Print to open the Print window.

  2. Make sure your printer is selected, and then click Show Details if it displays to access the print settings available for your printer.

  3. Make sure the 'Black and white' box is not checked.

Thanks for replying but that did not help. It firmware site states there are not firmware updates available. I printed a Printer Diagnostics Quality and it prints color but nothing else does. Any suggestions?

Well...I completely deleted the printer from my computer and started from scratch re-installed it and it worked!!!
