Just done initial setup of new HP envy 6000e series printer. Printed 2 alignment pages then error code E9 started flashing.

Ink is new as is printer.

Have switched printer off and back on again a few times but error code still displayed.

Any ideas on how to fix?

@Vicky9876, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

An E9 error occurs when a problem occurs during a printer firmware update.

  1. Set up the wireless setup again.

For more information, go to Wireless Printer Setup.

  2. Touch the Information button .

If the information page prints, the printer is back to normal state.

If the printer fails to print the Information page, it is still in recovery mode and needs to download the firmware again.

    NOTE:

During recovery mode, the printer automatically downloads firmware from the cloud. Leave the printer about 2 hours, depending on your network speed, to complete firmware download and update.
