HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer - H711n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After changing an ink cartridge, the printer ceased working. No error number, just "Printer failure or ink system failure."

I reset the printer, shut off, pulled plug, restarted. no benefit.   i tried replacing the new cartridge with another new cartridge. no luck. i tried replacing ALL of the cartridges (expensive!) and no luck. each time rebooting system.

i tried downloading and reinstalling drivers. no luck.

help??

it seems i just have to junk this faithful but old printer unless one of you has a miracle to suggest!

@rich32323, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Ink System Failure' or 'System Supply Problem' Error Displays

You may also try the steps here - Printhead errors

Make sure you are using HP ink cartridges. Insert one ink cartridge at a time and check for the error.

Use the old ink cartridges(if available) and check if the error persists.

If the error persists, I'm afraid the issue is with the printhead. The printhead is non-removable in this model printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
