Microsoft Windows 11

We have a 6 month old Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw that will turn on, but the little touch screen no longer lights up. I have tried hardwiring it to the network, as well as connecting a USB, but nothing will print. When I use the HP Smart app to try to manage the unit, it shows up as a found printer, but shows offline and will not let me access it. How can I factory reset this unit to get it hopefully working again??

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are unable to print and the printer shows offline and you will like to factory reset the print and start from scratch

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
