HP DeskJet Plus 4158 All-in-One Printer

Power button light keeps blinking but when I push it, printer won't turn on. I hold it down, same thing - nothing happens.

This started after the first time I powered it down.

@Blonorobert, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see the the printer is not powering ON. It seems like a setup issue as the printer is new.

The Power light blinks at a steady interval when the printer is processing a print job. If the Power light blinks fast, the ink cartridge door might be open, or the printer might be in an error state.

If an error message displays on the computer screen, follow the on-screen messages to resolve the issue. If a message does not display, continue with these steps.

Power light is blinking fast

As the printer is not powering ON, follow the steps mentioned in this document - HP printer does not turn on

Check the power cable, connect it firmly on both the ends.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
