Hi there,

 

I kindly ask for your help as I'm flabbergasted with my new printer, which I bought just 14 days ago.

First off...I printed in total about 25 pages on different days. Next I didn't use the printer for about 1 week; during this time the printer was turned on.

OS Windows 13

 

While I next wanted to print, HP Smart showed the printer as "offline". I tried every trick in the book to get the printer to be "online/ ready to go" again, but to no avail. I also used the HP Virtual agent up to switching off and turning on the router. Nevertheless, the wireless sign continued to be invisible. I also removed and reestablished the printer on HP Smart. After about 2 days, I was somewhat successful, the wireless sign on the touch screen was visible again and on the HP Smart App the printer showed as "ready". Needless to say, I was ecstatic... for about 1 min!

 

While trying to print, the printer made the required noises and I was able to see the documents in the "print queue", but no printing occurred!On the HP Smart App, the printer suddenly showed as "not successfully setup" and on the touch screen of the printer all (error) lights are blinking/ flashing:

 

  • Paper tray light: constant white light
  • Touch screen:
  • wireless sign: constant
  • red x, yellow scan, green arrow down: flashing at the same time for about 1 second
  • paper count: E or 9 flashing for about 1 second in sequence and whenever the above error is not
  • cartridge light: blinking ( I removed and set up cartridges as well as checked paper - everything is fine)
  • paper tray light: also blinks, but no problems whatsoever with paper)

 

Well, this is as much information that I can give you. I'm at my wits end and ask for your help.

Does anyone have an idea?
