When I try to print an error message F9 shows up and asked me to turn the printer off and then back on. I have done this several times, but the printer will not print. The printer window shows that it is ready, tries to go to the print mode (it says printing document), but it does not print.

If you go to the control panel on the printer and go to reports and then config page and select, does it print a config page. If it does, then you have a communication issue with the printer and need to check connections usb and if network, need to check the network settings of the printer match the network settings in the driver

As I said you have a communication issue. Again just click the green check mark button to bring up the reports menu and then click the right arrow till it says config report and then hit the green button. It will print a config page that will tell you the ip address of the printer if using network. Make sure it matches the port setting in the properties of the driver. If using usb just move the usb cable to another port on the computer and see if the computer finds new hardware and loads the printer giving you a copy 1 of the printer. If it does and it works, just delete the other copy of the printer.
