Product: HP Office Jet 6958

I keep getting the message "You didn't turn off the printer properly.  You should turn off with power switch.  This happened when I tried to connect it with a new router.  I had a little problem, but I was able to print one.  One time in the middle of changing, I probably held the power button of the printer longer than necessary.  After this I keep getting the message, and cannot get it to work.  I need a help, please.
