My Deskjet 3065A has started printing "double" , like with a shadow.   If I print Word documents this will not happen.  However when I print images or web pages, everything has a shadow, making printing unreadable.    I have done the align, and actually this page looks correct.   And have tried a new HP print cartridge.

Hello,

I see that you're having an issue with the print quality.

Are you having this issue when you make a copy?

I would try a hard reset with the printer.

Hard Reset:

Unplug the power cord from the printer and wall

Take out the toner/cartridges

Wait 30 sec

Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall (Make sure the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)

Insert the toner/cartridges back into the printer

Let me know the outcome

Thank you for getting back to me.  Copying has the same issue.  I can print the alignment page fine, but when I copy it the bottom graphics and printing next to the graphic prints blurry/double, happens in both black or color copy.  Same with the windows test page, the text prints correctly, but the graphic and title at top of page prints blurry.

I did try exactly your steps but this did not help.

Thanks

OK, I would suggest following this document, which will give you several steps on how to resolve the issue.

The biggest step in this document is cleaning the print heads, manually. I know the title doesn't fit your issue, but the steps are relevant to the issue you're having.

Removing the print cartridges, unplugging everything:  stopped the shadowing. Thank you

I did a hard shut down. My yellow was at 30% so I replaced that. And still have the same problem with the graphics. The writing is fine but my graphice is double. I have tried several different documents and get the same results. Im getting a 79 service error.

Hi, your advice helped me today, I'm very grateful, since we struggled with the shadow printing for a while. Thanks a bunch!
