HP Officejet Pro 6978 Printer Failure

Multiple errors: Paper jam / Error 0x6100004a - Completed all of the recommended fixes and nothing works. Cleaned the heads, check for any paperjams, did their universal fix. (unplug it, wait, blah blah blah)

Service is absolutely horrible and the products are the most unreliable that I've ever owned. I own 3 HP printers and every single one of them have problems! 

Completely inoperable, and the service center is completely useless.

Heading to office max now to purchase a couple of Epson printers to replace these.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Perform the steps mentioned in these documents - '0x6100004a' error after a paper jam message and 'Printer Failure' Error'

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. 

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6) Fill out the webform and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes, you may use this link to find the phone number of the regional HP Support team: HP Phone Assist Worldwide
