HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One Printer
macOS 10.15 Catalina

My 2 year old hp Officejet Pro 9025 gets stuck on a blue screen with error 01B3B8E6 every time I turn it on. I've followed the answer to the only other support question I've seen with this error code, I tried turning it off and on, unplugging it too, but I continue to receive the same error. I can't connect to the printer to factory reset, so I'm really unsure what other options I have left.

Hi @erodriguez1924,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a "01B3B8E6" error on the printer screen.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I am having the same issue, can someone send me the instructions to do a reset for the printer. Powering it on and off does not resolve the issue.

Hi @JohnWhite3746,

I understand you are receiving a "01B3B8E6" error on the printer screen.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

Try the below suggestions -

Reset the product

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
