Hi @donisgone,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. If the paper drawer on your HP OfficeJet 9125e won’t close, it’s usually due to one of these issues:

  1. Paper Misalignment
    • The paper may be sticking out or stacked above the maximum fill line.
  2. Paper Guides Out of Position
    • The adjustable guides might be too tight or too loose, preventing the tray from sliding in.
  3. Obstruction Inside the Printer
    • A small piece of paper or packaging material could be blocking the tray.
  4. Tray Not Aligned Properly
    • The tray needs to be level and aligned with the rails before pushing in.

Steps to Fix

  1. Remove All Paper
    • Take out the paper stack and check for bent or curled sheets.

  2. Check Paper Guides
    • Adjust the guides so they lightly touch the paper without bending it.

  3. Inspect for Obstructions
    • Use a flashlight to look inside the printer for any debris or packing tape.

  4. Reinsert the Tray Correctly
    • Align the tray with the rails and push gently until it clicks into place.

  5. Do Not Force It
    • Forcing can damage the mechanism; if it resists, recheck alignment and guides.
