Samsung MultiXpress K7600GX
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm trying to update my Samsung MultiXpress K7600GX firmware but the software I downloaded from HP website is in a .hds format and I can't open it in my computer. How do I open it?

You don't "open" the .hds file. There are a couple of ways to install. The easiest is to:

1. Put the .hds file on a flash drive
2. Insert the flash drive in the USB port near the op panel
3. Open Application Management on the copier
4. Click on install
5. Select the .hds file on the flash drive.

You will need to be logged in as administrator. If you don't know the admin password you have another set of problems to deal with. There is no generic or default password on this model, it is created at setup.

Be sure to disconnect any network and/or USB cables.
