Hi @meikoday,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand you have replaced the HDD and are looking for an HP system/recovery image, as well as a repair tutorial to help with the replacement.
Before I provide the correct information, could you share the following details?
- Is this an HP laptop or desktop?
- What is the exact HP model name and product number?
- Is it an HP consumer product (Pavilion, ENVY, OMEN, etc.) or an HP commercial/business product (ProBook, EliteBook, ZBook, ProDesk, etc.)?
- Which Windows version was originally installed?
- What type of repair tutorial are you looking for - a tutorial for replacing the HDD/another component, or a complete product disassembly/repair guide?
The repair documentation is model-specific, so once we have the exact product details, we can check the appropriate Maintenance and Service Guide or repair documentation for that system.
Regarding the system image, HP recovery media is also model-specific and is only available for certain supported products. For older or obsolete products, an original HP recovery image may no longer be available. If that is the case, we can check what other recovery or Windows installation options are available for your system.
Share the model/product number and the type of repair tutorial you need, and we can check the available HP resources and guide you from there.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.
