I rent MFPs and still have several Samsung 5370s and 5360s in the field.  Lately several unrelated printers have had problems where the machine stops supplying toner to the Imaging Unit. You can add toner manually from the tech menu but after 200 or 300 prints its grey again. The machines simply don't add toner while printing. If I put a new Imaging Unit it works fine, even if I substitute the an older unit that wasn't working before. After a while the problem returns and the only way to reset the machine in by putting 100% new unit so the machine does the loading cycle. Any ideas ??

Might be an issue with the toner supply drive motor. I suggest you find a copy of the service manual as it will provide detailed troubleshooting steps.
