Hello, I have a Samsung SLP 680DW printer, i'm struggling to understand how cleartext, trapping and picture detailed, enhanced, or normal effect the print results. So far when I print some image that has small text infront of it the text comes out very thin and smaller than I designed it on the screen. How can I address this problem so the text is printed clearly and noticeably? I don't think the clear text option in Samsung printer software settings really has much of an impact, sometimes it seems to make the text look ghosted or duplicated rather than clearer.
Also when i print out a document to my printer that is connected wirelessly, sometimes it takes a very long time to print, i go into print spooler and it shows the memory is building up to reach the full value. My network card and home network are fast and the wifi signal is high. There is some problem somewhere configured with the print driver/software settings. Does anybody know the problem in this case?

SLP or CLP If a CLP this is an older printer and likely only supports slow wifi speeds and likely has a slower processor and limited memory. If printing a PDF you can try selecting print as image option which usually provides better performance.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It was printing promptly not long ago, I think there might be a configuration issue somewhere or my installation of Windows, all that I have done recently is some updates of Windows 10 and I have uninstalled Windows updates as well because it caused the start menu search to stop working. I don't think it's because its an old printer and the print processor might be slower, do you mean maybe with the recent updates of Windows the software might be responding to it slower?

Check what drivers are installed. It is possible that your standard driver has been replaced by a Microsoft IPP driver which are notorious for lackluster printing speeds as well as losing features

Hi thanks, that's interesting, the Microsoft IPP driver. I removed the Samsung printer from the Printers and scanners menu once and added it back again using add printer, but I didn't uninstall any driver from control panel. I assume one can't tell what driver your printer is using whether it's the Microsoft IPP or the Samsung Universal Print Driver 3, that's what I'm using now.
