On power on, the printer shows "System initializing" and counts up. It never fully starts, but goes directly to "Shutting down" and then reboots. I believe I have to restore the HDD image, but don't have access to the source files. I would be very thankful if someone happens to know where to find them!

Thank you so much for your help! I successfully downloaded the file and put it on a thumb drive.
The first attempt to recover the printer ended with me replacing the internal hard drive of the printer, since the reovery process failed with an error message indicating the drive was bad. Next attempt succeded and the printer seems to boot normally.
The last step is causing some confusion, though. Should I use the .ehd file for firmware upgrade as well?
EDIT: The .ehd file was not accepted by the printer. I downloaded and used V6.00.07.02 from hp.com. The update progressed to 100%, but got stuck and the printer never restarted on its own. I was scared to unplug the printer to manually restart it, but did it anyway after 45 minutes. Luckily it booted and didn't show any signs of damage. It reports the correct FW version and no error messages.
The printer is now tested and fully operational. Once again, thank you very much, @Repairatrooper, for your support!
