Hi. I bought a second hand printer which has printed only1030 pages total. It prints perfect demo page and it print reports from my computers SyncThru Web Service page. But it doesn't print any prints from computers normal AirPrint printing software. When I start printing, the printer receives data and Display Screen says Printing and Status light is blinking, but after a while Display Screen says Canceling and nothing happens.
Printer is connected to my computer with ethernet cable. I tried USB and WiFi also, but it didn't help either.
My computer is brand a new MacBook Pro14 M1 with Ventura 13.0 operating system. (The message Operating System info headline had only macOS 12.0 Monterey and no further systems!) The printing driver version is 3.0.
This Samsung Xpress SL-C480W is brought from Hong Kong where it was used before bringing it to Finland. It has only English and two Chinese-looking languages installed in it. I would like to update its Firmware but I haven't found it anywhere.
I wonder, that could the problem be, that printer doesn't have Finnish language installed and so it can't print Scandinavian text.
All the system reports from SyncThru Web Service page it print very well. But I had one Scandinavian letter ö in Location info "Työhuone" so it replaced it with question mark "Ty?huone". So I need to update System languages anyway.
I hope somebody can help me with this.

In terms of firmware, it would appear that the update utility may only be supported by Windows

I installed the latest System Firmware Version from the latest Windows file. (Thank you Repairatrooper for the hint. Firmware wasn't available on MacOS section.) And I managed to update printer's System firmware with SyncThru Web Service to V3.00.01.21 SEPT-03-2019. But it doesn't solve the problem. Printer behaves the same: it says it is printing and a while later it is canceling. But couple of times the printing has suddenly started from the computer's printing app, but then the Samsung printer has printed only many pages with 1-5 lines of strange symbols on top of the page.
Finally it occurred to me that I've been using all the time new AirPrint technology, because it says on Apple's page, that this Samsung C48x-series is compatible with AirPrint.
So I thought I'd try something else and I prepared new printing connection through Internet Printing Protocol - IPP. Then I gave it a chance. And a miracle happened – Samsung printer started printing perfectly! And the PROBLEM is SOLVED!
But I spend two days figuring out the wrong problem! Problem is, that Samsung C40x-series is not compatible for AirPrint technology or Apple's AirPrint driver is not compatible for it. Just this week, a new OS version 13.0 Ventura was released. There may be bugs. I will report this to Apple.
