Thank you to absolutely nobody from HP. I fixed it myself by turning off the WIFI direct option on this printer. Apparently this was interfering with the printers ability to talk to the router and connect. Hopefully this will help someone not waste 3 hours of their time in the future.

I am glad you resolved the issue. In future, keep in mind that this is a user to user support forum and people here volunteer their time. As a result, there is not always someone online that might be equipped to answer your question and on older Samsung products many might not be aware that the solution you found would work. Typically when I run into these types of issues it turns out to be a compatibility issue between the newer 5Ghz standards and the older printer.

I understand how a community message board works. What is frustrating is when you buy a printer from one company and they pawn you off onto a company that gives you ONLY this as a "support" option. When you are needing help with something, waiting for messages to go out and for someone to have the time to message back can be very frustrating. Having a tech support number to call would be absolutely amazing.... but that is not the case. When you call the Samsung printer assistance line they tell you that they no longer offer support for their printers and tell you to contact HP for support. The ONLY option that pops up on this site is this forum. Do you see how that can be irritating? Also, my comment of no help from HP was exactly that.... NO HELP FROM HP. A community can be great but you guys are not HP.

To clarify, Samsung sold their printer business to HP. HP inherited a lot of older products that would likely fall under the category of End of Service Life and definitely beyond the standard 1 year warranty and free support. HP offers a program called Smart Friend that you can purchase to obtain live phone service from an HP agent.
