I am trying to fix a Samsung ProXpress C4062fx for a customer. They brought it in because the hard drive was coming up as bad. So I replaced the hard drive and went to format it. It is asking for a password. I tried the password that the owners gave me, it didn't work. I tried the default password, it didn't work. I tried the default password for the old models. I tried variations of all of those, and the passwords that people seems to use along with variations. Nothing worked.
Is there some way I can reset this machine to factory without being able to get past the format screen?
Any ideas are welcome, and appreciated

You cannot simply replace the drive, there is a recovery process that must be followed to configure the new drive to work with the printer. That may or may not be the issue with the password. I will send you a link via private message with some useful information. Just waiting for a moderator to enable that feature on your account.

Thanks for the help so far, I hope you can answer one more question. It starts going thru the format but stops around 15 or 16% and goes into the loading message and sticks there. Anything else that I can do to get out of that?
Thanks again.
