My Samsung SCX-3200 has stopped working. The status light is solid orange and it won't print. I've tried changing the toner cartridge and that doesn't fix the issue. Does anyone know what the solid orange error status light is and how to fix it?

Hi @ DG231
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A solid orange status light on your Samsung SCX-3200 printer typically indicates a hardware or operational issue. Here are steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open all doors and trays of the printer and carefully check for any paper jams.
- Remove any stuck paper or foreign objects.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 10-15 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Windows 10 computer.
- You can download the latest drivers from the official Samsung website or use the ones that came with the printer installation CD.
Check for Connectivity Issues:
- Make sure that the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or network connection.
- If using a USB connection, try using a different USB port or cable.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and disconnect any other cables.
- Wait for a minute, then reconnect the power cable and turn on the printer.
Reset the Printer:
- Check the printer manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Be cautious as this will reset all settings to default.
Inspect Toner Cartridge:
- Ensure that the toner cartridge is installed correctly.
- Remove the toner cartridge and reinstall it, making sure it clicks into place.
Check for Faulty Components:
- If the issue persists, it might be a hardware problem.
Printer Self-Test:
- Most printers have a self-test or diagnostic page that you can print directly from the printer's control panel. Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to print a self-test page.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
