Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Samsung SCX-4521F seems to have kicked the bucket today, after what seems to have been some kind of power surge. It made a lot of noise after the power at my home came back on, then stopped doing anything at all. Flicking the on/off switch on the back causes it to produce a faint whirring/whining noise, but no other signs of life. It's a pretty old printer... I don't suppose it's still covered by a warranty? The website just says the serial number in invalid.

If it's gone for good, what other printers can take the same kind of cartridge? The catridges I have say "Compatibale with SCX-4521D3, SCX-4521F series, SCX-4521FG series." Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Sounds like the engine board or formatter has been mortally wounded. With Samsung being bought by HP and most Samsung products approaching end of life, other than buying something from FB Marketplace or other local resource, it may be time to look for a new product.
