Hi, I've got a Samsung Xpress M2885FW multifunction printer/scanner and the software that comes with it is all written to work on a 32-bit OS.
With Apple moving to only 64-bit apps to work under OSX Catalina, I'm wondering whether HP / Samsung are likely to offer any kind of upgrade path for older Samsung printers connected to Mac computers? Otherwise my old Samsung scanning software etc is likely to make my multifunction obsolete.
I'd be grateful if anyone could offer any help.
Thanks
D

Hi,
you can follow this thread:[edit]
and this guide https://www.docdroid.net/n4BZFUR/mac-os-1015-catalina-1.pdf#page=3
to make it print again.
The scanner, however, does not work yet..

Thanks but that's the process I've been following. When I get to add the printer again I can select the "Samsung M2885FW Series" from the list of available printers, but in the "Name, Location and Use" options below I only have "AirPrint" as an option for Use. The Specific driver is not listed.
On my Mac Book that I've managed to get working with the M2885 I've got both AirPrint and Samsung M288x Series" listed under the Use option
Does that make sense?
