We had a paper jam, cleared it from the front and back. Now have error code "Transfer Belt error". I have turned off the machine multiple times and the code keeps coming back. When the printer initializes there are some loud gear noises.

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.Just for information some technical information is protected by HP and is not allowed to be answered.This is unfortunate and you will have to contact a HP repair shop for the help in this case.This sounds like there is a gear drive problem.Try to removed the toner and drum if possible and start the machine without these parts.The machine should do a turning cycle.If this happens without noise replace the parts and try again.Should this not work you will have to find the jammed gear or prt that's preventing the machine from startup.Hope this will help.
