Are you able to make a photocopy directly on the machine? If so then you probably have a software issue and will want to reinstall the software or make sure that you have available memory and disk space on your computer. If you cannot copy then the scanner unit has likely failed and in most cases repair cost will exceed what is sensible to spend on a used printer.
