Can't Scan legal sized documents using HP App

The scanner is only scanning 11 inches of 14 inch legal sized documents.  Sizes available are: Entire, Letter, A4, 4x6, and 5x7.  There is no option for legal size.

If I bring up Windows Fax & Scannners, I do not get the option of saving to PDF.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list. 
2. Restart the PC
3. Close all programs
4. download only this complete package: HP OfficeJet 3830 series Print and Scan Driver and Accessories 
   File name: Full_Webpack-40.15.1230-OJ3830_Full_Webpack.exe (160.1 MB)
5. Close all programs
6. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the Full_Webpack-40.15.1230-OJ3830_Full_Webpack.exe
7. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
8. Restart the System again
9. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

Hi,

If you scan from HP Smart, change the Source to Document Feeder and then US Legal size becomes available, such a size is only available from the ADF as it is bigger than the Flatbed Scanner glass.
