HP Envy 6000e Printer

HP Envy 6055e printer will not copy.  I put the paper on the glass and close the lid but the control panel does not light up for copying.  I have unplugged it and then plugged it back in and turned on.  Nothing.  I have also searched for over and hour just to see if there was any help online.  Nothing.  There was another post about this but there was no response.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)


Hi all,
My model is HP ENVY 6010e with lastest firmware: 001.2150D [49.1 MB] (Jan 18, 2022).
As freeze (button and power locked) was frequently, I made factory defaults (cap.9 on manual).

• THIS RESOLVE INITIALS FREEZE PROBLEMS (factory defaults)
With printer ON:
1) Lift the cartridge access door to expose the cartridge area.
2) While door is open => PRESS and HOLD "Power" and "Wireless" button on the back of the printer for 3 seconds.


NEW ISSUE: COPY LIGHTS OFF AT STARUP WHEN SCAN LID IS OPENED -> HARD RESET (below), IT DON'T WORK!
Like in the topic title, now a new issue appear: copy lights off at startup when scan lid is opened (only wifi).
The I tried HARD RESET as explained in last step here:

- Printer ON / Remove power cord in the back / Wait 1 minute / Reconnect power cord / Return ON printer
But...HARD RESET, it didn't work!


Then I found this solution:

• SOLUTION: COPY LIGHTS OFF AT STARUP WHEN SCAN LID IS OPENED (ONLY WIFI) (My method)

- If the PRINTER just turned ON:

1) PRESS and HOLD  [■]  BLACK COPY button until the central bar light up...DONE!


- If the PRINTER just turned ON AND SCAN LID has already been OPENED:

1) PRESS  [■]  BLACK COPY button and immediately after PRESS  [X]  CANCEL button...DONE!


For me it worked for the ENVY 6010e, but I think it works for the whole ENVY 6000 series...

These answers are not helpful. I have the same problem. When I open the lid the lights do not come on. Only the Wi-Fi light is lit. What is the solution for this problem? I cannot get my copier to copy! I have unplugged it I have turned it off and on I cannot figure this out.

I posted the original problem.  Just so you know, I tried everything and nothing ever worked.  I took it back to the store as defective and bought another.  No one likes to do this but no answers were forthcoming.  And who wants to spend a couple hours on the phone trying to work it through with HP customer service.

 

Sorry there was not a viable solution posted.

I had the same exact problem.  

But I followed this tutorial:  https://youtu.be/tL6zUBxW72I

But my printer started flashing E and 9 (which meant to low on ink), but I was still able to reconnect the printer to my computer.

But at that moment the monitor was still blank.  Then I pressed Printer Settings in the app, and then Printer Status, and pressed on the low ink thingy, then it gave options on what to do with the information.  I just pressed  the blue Okay button, and when I checked back on my printer the other display were back on.
