HP OFFICEJET 6700 PREMIUM DOES NOT SCAN ON GLASS SCANNER

Hello everyone,

My HP Officejet 6700 Premium now cannot scan though the glass scanner. It requires me to place the document on the feeder tray on the top. What can I do to solve this problem, please? With some ID or card you cannot place them on the tray feeder. I am going crazy now 😥. TIA

To better assist you -

1) Are you getting any error message? 

2) Are you trying to scan using the Easy Scan or Image Capture? 

If you are using the Easy Scan, try scanning using the Image Capture. Refer to this document for steps - Scan images in Image Capture on Mac

Easy Scan, Says Automatic feeder is empty.  Not trying to use Automatic feeder trying to scan to glass.

As a side note tried to scan using Image Capture.  That did not work either. Easy Scan worked prior to update to Catalina.

Are you getting any error? 

Please try updating your Mac. Refer to this document for steps - Keep your Mac up to date

Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
