HP OfficeJet 4655 All-in-One Printer

Scanning to my android phone from my HP Officejet 4655 All-in-One Printer recently stopped working. Every time I try to scan, I get an error message. Selecting scan tells me You will be redirected to HP  app in a few seconds. After about 5 seconds, I get an error message. Your redirect is taking too long. Click here to return. I uninstalled HP app on my Android phone and reinstalled it. Now, it will not allow me to add my printer at all. I was told to use my laptop and go to 123.hp.com to set up my printer. I was able to do that, and now my cell phone finds the printer. But, connect my printer to Wi-Fi tells me printer not found and again advises me to use my laptop and go to 123.hp.com to set up my printer. The Wi-Fi light on my printer is on. I can scan using HP app on my desktop PC. I can print to my printer using Wi-Fi from my laptop. I can even fax from my phone using files on my phone.  SCAN STOPPED WORKING ON MY ANDROID DEVICE.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

I'd recommend you to reset the network settings on the phone and then install the HP Smart App and try again.

Let me know if this helps.

I did reset my Wi-Fi connection, is that what you meant by reset network settings? I also uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart. I was pleased to find all of my saved information was still accessible. Unfortunately, I still cannot scan a document to my phone.

Reset the network on your phone then and try again.

I have forgotten and logged in to my Wi-Fi connection a couple of times. No change.

My HP OJ 6968 AIO has the same issue, and I've gone through all the suggested troubleshooting to no avail.  I'm thinking it happened with the latest HP Smart update and something to do with web services.  I can't update print apps, run a report, etc.

The last time I tried, it also stopped printing, which was not an issue before.

Based on here, review of the Smart app, and other places, there are a ton of people all having the same issue.

I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN last week!  Wouldn't print!

I am 100% with you on WebServices and HP Smart.  It all started when they did the that update before last?  I think they tried to send a patch out, and that's when we lost printing?

I was attempting to get medical forms signed and scanned.

I would guesstimate this is affecting Ms.

Don't worry its not a big issue. Just go and update your scanner software. As we were facing the same issue for 6550 in our Fischer Lovebird facts office. We just updated the software of the scanner and the issue get fixed. So kindly update your scanner driver and other software the issue will be get fixed.
