Product: Officejet Pro 8610

The printer, on its own, has at random times, perform a scan. If I notice it scanning on its own on time, I am able to cancel it. If I don't cancel the scan, there is a message saying I can access the scan on the computer (I should see a message on the computer pop up). I am not seeing any messages or alerts popup on any computer.

The times it scans on its own appears to be random. 

The uncommanded scans continue even after several power cycles. 

Has anyone heard or experienced this occurring? Should I try a soft reset or partial reset of the printer to see if it resolves this? 

Other printer functions are working normally.
