Makes no mention of 2 sided copying and scanning, only 2 sided printing. If there is an option to copy 2 sided to 2 sided then scanning would be supported for 2 sided but if the copy option does not exist then chances are your machine does not support it.

Indeed, the 8035 printer supports automatic duplex print only, it does not support duplex scanning or copying.
This may be done manually using HP Scan software as shown below. the same steps applies for your printer model too:

If you only have HP app installed, follow HP Easy Start by selecting the HP Basic or Full Feature software option during the Software Selection screen, then follow its installation:
