I have a new HP Office Jet 9010 Pro series.  I can't scan from the document feeder to my computer unless I use the app.  Why is there a scan button on the printer screen then?  I got this printer specifically because of this feature.  It does seem to work from the app, but I do not want to have to do that every time.  I'm beyond frustrated at this point.  Please help

After a few hours of troubleshooting I found a solution. Go to Printers & scanners and click on the HP 9010 Series Printer. In the new Window click on Scanner settings, then on Scanner properties. A new window "Scanners and cameras" will come up. Make sure to click on your 9010 and then Scan Profiles. Edit the profile and select the Feeder as the Source. Save the profile and make it the Default one. That will work, but I am still trying to figure out how to add PDF to that profile. will keep you posted.

Regards,

JC
