My printer/scanner/copier is a little older, HP Deskjet 2450 that I purchased in the mid-early 2000s. I just bought a new laptop and am learning more and more the things I can no longer use because of how new it is, including the function to scan documents. Having no idea where the CD-Rom is for the printer at this point, I had to look up the install software on HP for my printer. Downloaded everything and it's been printing and copying just fine! Now I need to scan a document to my computer and, after opening the HP Printer Assistant, when I click on the Scan dialogue box nothing happens. Nothing. Another window doesn't open, absolutely zero happens. I saw on some other posts an HP rep suggested downloading HP Scan Extended so I tried that as well and it also doesn't open and literally does nothing. Please help. I need to scan documents! Thank you!
