Hello.
I have some bug when I try scan using HP's MFP. If I have only one MFP that connected to PC, then everything is OK, because there are no "scanner selection window" and thus any our actions won't provide errors using eztwain driver.
But if we have > 1 MFP, then we have a "scanner selection window" . (This dialog is a specific feature of HP's driver, i guess). If I choose some scanner and then scan, everything will be OK. BUT if I click "cancel" in select scanner dialog, in next time, trying open the source, I will get error with code = 26 (EZTEC_OPEN_DS or "can't open source").
Also I wrote to EZTwain support, they say "The issue itself is stemming from the driver, which seems to be an issue for HP scanners, when using multiple instances of the same device. Unfortunately, as DotTwain doesn't have any impact on the drivers themselves, there is not much we can do directly to resolve this."
Details:
A. Steps to recreate:
0. Prepare environment: connect two MFP devices of same model to PC, install drivers for them, then install EZTwain Pro 4.0 driver of last version, Twister for testing and DosadiLog for view logging.
1. Launch DosadiLog. Then launch Twister, select your MFP device (in my case HP LJ M1530 Scan Twain)
2. Click Analyze
3. In "scanner selection window" click "cancel"
4. Click Analyze Again. "scanner selection window" appears for a short time and disappear at once. In DosadiLog We see error - CANT OPEN SOURCE
B. Error code
Error code is 26 (In EZTwain agreement) = EZTEC_OPEN_DS
С. Driver info
I use driver of last version
D. My connection
Connection between MFPs and PC is LAN
