It is absolutely RIDICULOUS of HP to not include a basic USB cable with their Printers.

 

I have read the following LAME excuses for why they don't.

 

A) It would cost 20.00 more!  (NOT, a USB costs 5.00 USD and HP would be purchasing them WHOLESALE at a much lower cost.

 

B)  Because HP does not know where you will install your printer and you may need an extra-long USB.  (Have you ever bought electronics where basic length requirements did not suit your needs?  Of course!  That is a customization that you pay for at your own cost but at least some basic cord, USB, etc. is included.

 

HP INCLUDE A BASIC USB WITH YOUR PRINTERS OR STATE CLEARLY IN YOUR PRODUCT ADVERTISING THAT A USB IS NOT INCLUDED!!!

 

JUST LIKE WHEN PURCHASING CERTAIN TOYS FOR KIDS.  "BATTERIES NOT INCLUDE" STATED CLEARLY.

 

I just set up an office in a foreign country and waiting for a  USB was a major pain in the ass.

HP Recommended

It depends on a printer model, some models include a USB cable in the box, on some models, USB cable needs to be bought separately.

 

It's described in product specifications you can find online for all HP printers.
