So I just set up my new HP 9015e. I must say I expected an easy setup compared to my HP Officejet 8610 and I was quite disappointed to find that over 2 hours later I still don't have it completely set up. In any case, I usually use the Windows app to scan, print and fax. I think I have the print part working.

However, with my 8610, when I wanted to fax a document from my windows computer, I simply clicked on File--> Print -->and clicked the HP 8610 Fax as a destination on the print menu. I see no such option for the 9015e. Does anyone know how to send a document from a windows computer to be faxed by the 9015e?

The other question is ... every time I log into the "HP Smart" app to use it to scan or fax, it times out after a max of 15 minutes and forces me to log back in with an admin id and password. With my HP 8610 app, if I log in ... I'm in for as long as I want and I'm not forced to log back in over and over again. Is this what I need to do in order to fax/scan/print from an HP windows app? If it is, I don't know if I want an HP printer because that is crazy. Is there no way around that?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Larry
