Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I just purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and I was able to set up "scan to email" and run a successful test. However, when I try to scan from the printer I got a "server failure. try again later" notice. I tried turning the device on and off, and resetting web services. What else is there to do?

Hi,

Do you select Scan to Email from the scan menu? this is not related with web services but a direct connection to an SMTP server.

a such would likely occur due to any security configuration conflict with your email security settings, please clarify which email service is used:

Note: please add some dash within the service

provider name as any email server will likely be censored to prevent spammers (e.g g-mail instead of **bleep**).

yes, I select Scan to Email. email server is g-mail. I did also go into g-mail settings and enable apps, etc. The test worked on my computer but when I go to scan on the actual device it isn't working.

Thanks for clarifying @Meira32

A such may occur due to your Google account security settings.

First, open the following link and login to the same account as you set for the printer.

Note: if you are connected, sign out from your account, select your account and manually enter the password to ensure you indeed use the correct password, then click on Security from the left pane:
https://myaccount.google.com/security

Within the Signing in to Google section, check the "2-Step Verification" velue.

If it is set as "On", create and use an App-Specific Password with the printer:

If it is set as "Off", Within the Less secure app access section ensure that the feature is on.

If it is Off, click on Turn on access (not recommended) and toggle on the feature. Otherwise the verification will fail.
Once you are done run a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem been resolved.

Thank you for your thorough instructions. Unfortunately, I had seen these recommendations in a previous question so all of that was already done. I am still getting "server failure"

Also to clarify the tests are successful but the actual scanning is not.

Hi @Meira32 ,

Could you please access the EWS page of the printer and include a screenshot if the screen, including both the Outgoing email settings and Outgoing Email Profiles section?

Of course be sure to gray out any personal information such as your email address.

Please check the EWS section below to access it if with a step by step instructions if needed:
