HP needs to get updated compatible software drivers for windows 11. I am tired of having to uninstall and reinstall the software when it doesn't want to work.  Why don't they have the drivers and software update to fix this issue? I have been having to do this for almost two weeks now. Get this fixed!!!

Hello @Jon-79 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The HP software must be completely uninstalled and removed of the system.

First download only this complete package: "HP Scanjet Full Feature Software and Driver ",

  • Version: 39.4.144
    Operating Systems: Windows 11
    Release date: Mar 8, 2022
  • File name: FullWebpack_sj2500f1-39.4.144-sj2500f1_Full_Webpack.exe (432.1 MB), this download takes a little longer!

Then proceed as follows:

Check the system for

  • TuneUp`s
  • Optimization Tools
  • Cleanup Tools

disable them, better uninstall them.

Next...

  1. Disconnect scanner from computer- Remove the USB cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
  2. right-click Start, search for "control panel" and open "Programs and Features"
uninstall all HP scanner software > via "Programs and Features"
  3. right-click Start, search for "control panel" and open "Devices and Printers"
In the "Devices and Printers" window look for your HP Scanner. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  4. Reboot the PC, this is a must

    OK
  7. search for "HP [scanner name or folders]" and delete all this folders
  8. Empty the TEMP folders
    A) C:\Users\[Your user account]\AppData\Local\Temp\
    B) C:\Windows\Temp\
  9. system files cannot be deleted!
  10. Reconnect the printer to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
  11. Restart the PC again
  12. Close all programs
  13. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the FullWebpack_sj2500f1-39.4.144-sj2500f1_Full_Webpack.exe.
  14. Via USB, means wait until the installation asks to connect the scanner
  15. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  16. Restart the PC again
  17. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.

Important information:
