Please help me get rid of the black vertical line in the center of my scanned documents when I use the auto feeder. Should I clean the auto feeder? If so directions please or do a hard reset? Would appreciate any Recommendations.

thsnks!

YOu didn't specify the exact model of the printer you use.

You need to access the smaller auto feeder glass under top cover left from flatbed glass and clean it.

Sorry, HP PHOTOSMART 7520. I did clean that area. Two lines are still there: one towards the right of the middle of the page and one right near the right edge of the paper. They may be a little lighter then  before but still there.

It’s me again. I took a look at the glass and I think the problem is actually  underneath. Can I access and clean underneath the glass? Please advise.

If it is under the glass then there is nothing that a normal user can do. Don't know how handy you are with tools but disassembly is not an easy job on your printer model,
