Hi,

Sorry for my poor English I'm French (nobody is perfect :))

I've bought laserjet Pro M479 a few days ago and my printings are OK. But for some reason the scanner is not working. Every time I go into the app to scan it tells me "Scanning is not active" or there is no connexion with your PC. When I launched HP Print and Scan doctor I have the same problem. Try to fully uninstall the app and reinstall without success.

Don't know what to do 😞

Can you help me

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m478-m479-series/19202514

 

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Thanks for your reply. I tried unsuccessfully three times with the full app app. Believe it's an issue with Windows 7 pro but I don't where to search the problem (same domain, right IP address.

 

Have you any other idea ?

Hi,

Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)
Use the one you have downloaded previously.
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Thank you for supporting me! I strictly followed your guideline and unfortunatelu it failed one more time.

Very frustrating situation.....

There is apparently no reason that the installation failed. So believed it's more a problem of implementation of my personnal network or something with W7 don't know...
