I'm trying to combine 2-4 scanned pages into a single file. I used to see a box that could be checked to do so, but now it is gone.  I use both the document feeder and the glass. Don't use the document feeder much anymore because the scan comes out a bit canted. I have tried adjusting the feeder tray width and the finished scan still is crooked, but I guess that's a second question.

Hello @groucho1,

Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I see you are trying to scan multiple pages into a single file.

Please go ahead and get started here: Scanning from a Mac Computer (OS X)

You will find this information under the 'Scan with HP Software' section.

I hope this helps. Let me know the outcome. If this resolves the issue please let others know by marking this post as "Accept as Solution".  To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" up button. If you require further assistance let me know and I will gladly do all I can to help.

Hi

Are you scanning to thumb drive or computer?

If you are scanning to thumb drive, after one page complete, when asked added another page, please press yes in control panel.

If you are scanning to computer, please refer to below steps to save multiple pages into one file.

Save multi-page documents or multiple photos into a single file

Save multiple page documents or a collection of photos into one PDF file with HP Scan software.
 NOTE:
HP Scan does not support adding multiple JPEG, PNG, or TIFF photos into a single file. You must save photos in the PDF format to save them all in one file.
  1. Scan a document or photo into HP Scan.
    • If you scanned multiple pages from the ADF, continue to the next step.
    • If you scanned from the scanner glass, load the next page or photo, then click Scan Next Item or Add. Repeat this step until all pages or photos are scanned, then continue to the next step.
  2. Click Send, then select Folder.
  3. Click the Format menu, then select PDF.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Save all items to a single file.
Figure : Select PDF format and checkbox to save into a single file
Select PDF format and checkbox to save into a single file
  5. Click Save.
Please "Thumbs Up" to say thanks for helping!

I would like to save a scanned image (PDF) along with a another file.  Is there a way to combine these in with HP cscanner software?  One reason would be add a signature page to a document that I can fill out in soft copy form without havinbg to print and scan the document that is alraedy in PDF format.
