I couldn’t get past the “Select an Accessory” screen on the setup. I had to manually connect to the device via Bluetooth outside of the app. Then return to the app and select the third option on the home setup screen to Explore Sproket then select a picture and print. It will manually connect to printer.

Hi @
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post. 😊
It seems like you've found a workaround for the "Select an Accessory" screen issue. To ensure a smoother setup process, here are some HP-recommended steps you can follow:
1. Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled
- On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Keep your device close to the Sprocket printer, as Bluetooth signals weaken with distance.
2. Reset the Printer
- Locate the reset pinhole near the charging port on your Sprocket.
- Insert a pin or paperclip to press and hold the reset button until the printer turns off.
- Restart the printer and try reconnecting.
3. Update the HP Sprocket App
- Open your device's app store and check for updates to the HP Sprocket app.
- Install the latest version to ensure compatibility and improved functionality.
4. Manually Add the Printer
- Open the HP Sprocket app and tap the Menu icon.
- Select Sprocket > Manage Printers > Add New Printer.
- Choose your printer from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Check for Firmware Updates
- In the HP Sprocket app, go to Menu > Sprocket > Manage Printers > Printer Settings.
- Look for a firmware update and install it if available.
