I got the Sprocket a couple of years ago and over the years the print quality has been fine but recently my photos have begun to print with a blue hue over them that was not on the photo prior to printing. I have used previous responses to try and solve the issue but with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @RJ184, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blue hue issue on your HP Sprocket printer is usually caused by one of the following:

Use a Fresh Blue Calibration Card

  • Every pack of HP ZINK photo paper includes a blue calibration card (with a barcode).
  • Make sure you're using the calibration card that came with your current pack of photo paper.
  • Insert the blue card face down in the tray and run a print.

Clean the Printer's Roller

  • Power off the Sprocket.
  • Open the paper tray and remove any dust or debris.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the rollers.

Use Genuine HP ZINK Paper

  • Ensure you are using HP-branded ZINK paper.
  • Third-party paper can cause color distortions.

Update Firmware & HP Sprocket App

  • Open the HP Sprocket app on your iPhone.
  • Tap Menu > Sprocket > Printers and check for firmware updates.
  • Also, ensure the HP Sprocket app is updated via the App Store.

Reset the Sprocket

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Hold the Power button for 10–15 seconds until the LED flashes.
  • Turn it back on and try printing again.

Try a Different Image & Adjust Settings

  • Sometimes, color balance is affected by lighting conditions in the photo.
  • Before printing, adjust the brightness and color in the HP Sprocket app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
